Faire La Fete Brut Cremant de Limoux NV

LIMOUX!!! Say it with me now...LEE-MOOOOOOO! Man, that’s fun to say. Even more fun to drink! UNDER $15 – for super-delicious, uber-fresh, and simply CRUSHABLE bubbly!!! 91 POINTS! I’m spinning...a whirling dervish of excitement and uncontainable vinous joy that only bubbles incite in me. LET’S GO!

Robb Report declared this as one of the Top 20 Wines Under $100...one delectable sip and you’ll understand. This ROCKS! Seriously...like chalky, minerally, flinty river rocks...a bubbly effervescent, supremely steely tingle of pure verve and intensity. And the citrus?!?!  Is that kaffir lime? Pomelo? Key lime pie? Whatever it is...I want more! Like Kylo Ren more. 70% chardonnay, 20% chenin blanc, 10% pinot noir – this drinks like Champagne at one-third the price! Load up on this – case purchases are really the only reasonable choice on an ultra-megasonic-teenage-warhead deal like this. I’m getting two, maybe three cases...it’s THAT good. 

Limoux is in southern France in the Pyrenean foothills, in the Languedoc region, and the area prides itself on being the first region to actually produce sparkling rose, some 200 years before Champagne (we can neither confirm nor deny this...). In any case, Faire La Fête (which loosely translates to “live it up”) is doing one heck of a bang-up job, because this CRUSHES most every other non-Champers bubbly we’ve had in some time. UBER-crisp, zingy, WHIP-SNAPPINGLY fresh citrus, crunchy green pear, and oh-so lively acidity....basically a complete no-brainer of bargain bubbly. PERIOD! UNDER $15!!! While it lasts!
